Wise Timetable also includes a powerful add-on: the Booking System. This tool allows lecturers to log in with a username and password (which can even be generated automatically) and reserve their own slot, for example, for meetings, consultations, or lab sessions. The booking system can also be managed directly by the university administration team.
All bookings are fully transparent and seamlessly integrated with the central timetable, ensuring no overlaps or conflicts with other scheduled events.
For universities using Single Sign-On, no separate login is required. Wise Timetable is fully compatible with systems such as Shibboleth, widely adopted across higher education institutions worldwide.
Wise Timetable provides comprehensive reservation capabilities, covering all entities involved in academic scheduling. Reservations can include:
● Programs, Years, and Study Areas
● Student Groups
● Lecturers
● Rooms and facilities
Each reservation can be tailored with different types of events (lectures, labs, exams, meetings, self-study activities, and more). Event types are fully customizable, so your university can define categories that reflect its own organizational needs.
Repetition options are highly flexible: reservations can be made as one-time events, weekly, or following any recurring pattern throughout the semester or year.
To ensure transparency, confirmation emails are automatically sent to all participants (lecturers, students, or administrators) involved in the reservation. Notes and internal comments can also be added, keeping track of context and responsibilities.
All reservations are seamlessly integrated into the central timetable, ensuring consistency, avoiding conflicts, and giving every participant a clear and updated schedule.
Wise Timetable allows you to assign specific booking rights to each lecturer, limiting them only to their designated labs or meeting rooms. This ensures that bookings remain transparent and prevents overuse or overbooking by unauthorized users. Each lecturer can see and reserve only the rooms assigned to them, keeping the scheduling process efficient and conflict-free.
Wise Timetable includes an optional approval system for web bookings. When enabled, any reservation created online is not immediately visible in the timetable. Instead, it first appears in the central administration interface, where an authorized administrator can review, approve, or deny the request.
Only after approval does the booking become active and visible to all users. This ensures full control over room usage, prevents unauthorized reservations, and keeps the official timetable clean and reliable.
Confirmation or denial emails can be automatically sent to the requester, keeping the communication transparent and efficient.
